I installed vmware to test so windows crap but I cant boot from the cdrom to load windows. I get operating system not found, has anyone got a better solution than simply booting from the cdrom since that isn't even a option that is givin. I have adjusted my bios to boot cdrom but that doesnt seem to work either.
Please help me before I use my vmware disk to wipe my as****

Slayer,
This may be of some help. I am doing the same with Redhat 7. Vmware is giving me an error that I need to either upgrade my kernel to 2.2.17 or down to 2.2.15 for it to recognize the cd rom for more than a audio device. boot Vmware and look for the errors . Your situation maybe totally different.
Just a suggestion!

Author's Note:I do not use VMWare.
With that said, the typical manner of a Windork install is with a boot disk. Perhaps that would be of assistance to you under VMWare? Even if you don't have one available, you can open Winfiles in KDE and copy them to the disk. I don't know if that is the solution, but it's about the best advice I can offer you. Good luck!
