OK - I'm trying RedHat Linux 8.0 out and i have about 15 computers in a back room at a local school that I want to load it up on. All of these computers have network cards, but none of them have Cd-rom drives or current OS software on them.

Is there a way I can take these RedHat 8.0 cd's and convert them to a floppy (like I loaded my old windows 95 with)? Or is there a way to connect these computers to a network first and load RedHat onto them from some klind of srver?

Thanks for youyr suggestions.

Also - I have only been using Linux for about 1 week - I will need a good step-by-step moron-proof kind of answer! Thanks

You can easily install over a network.

google search on 'linux network install' brought up 1,070,000 hits, although, probably only a few thousand are totally relevant. :)

Looks like the best of the bunch up to page three :). You might try searching the 'How I did it forum' for 'network install'
