can't see ftp

i got mdk9 and have an apache server setup i want to be able to acess the apache server over the wan link so im trying to setup ftp i used wu-ftpd and added anyomus users and the root directory for those users but when i type in ftp:tecateman.no-ip.com windoze say's that it can't find the page or i don't have rights is there maybe an easyer ftp program to configure ftp on my apache box?

Unless you have either a DNS server running on your internal network or you have a hosts file on the windows box, then typing in a url with a name would most likely fail. Try it with the IP address.

Wu-FTP and ProFTP both seem to be pretty good, but I think the ProFTP website has better documentation than Wu-FTP. Both are relatively easy to administer and configure if you have Webmin.
