Supermount broken.

Hi I was wondering if there was a way to make my new kernel use the supermount features that Mandrake 9.0 has? I liked having My CDs ready to access at any time - and since compiling my new kernel (my first) I have been severely missing it... Is there some kind of patch i can use to get it working again? If so how do I use it?
