Right....managed to set up Samba in Red Hat 8 to mount shares with my WinXP box....no problem. Even managed to get the HP DeskJet 940c attached to the XP box printing test pages from Red Hat. Only problem is that the print outs have a whole load of coloured lines across them. It's not a problem with the printer itself 'cause it works fine printing direct from the XP box. Is it a driver problem? A set up problem? The HP printer is listed in the printer configuration dialog, so I guess Red Hat has the necessary drivers. Very much in the dark here:rolleyes:
