hello
i seem to be having problem with installing rpm packages. iam not able to install , query or upgrade at all.
i have rpm ver 3.0.1 on kernel ver 2.4.7 which i installed recently.
what has to be done to get rpm running?
plz help

You'll need to be root before you can have access to RPM utility.

Also, Gnome RPM makes a good GUI to RPM.

You don't need to be root to query packages, either installed or not.

Unfortunately I don't really know what the problem would be since I don't use RPM.
