Help - I am running Mandrake 9.0 and have added a Ricoh DVD/CDRW to my system. I have searched the interweb thingy for suitable DVD playing Linux softwear and found something called Ogle, but I am confused (brain not yet detoxed from Christmas turkey overdose yet!) by all the diffrent types and variations of downloads for Ogle.

All I want is some thing simple to operate my DVD player is there any others, or can some kind soul point me in the right direction with Ogle?

Thanks in advance

David

I use mplayer (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/) as my DVD player. There are a packages you will need but its not too bad a download.

I use Ogle. It's really not too hard to install. I've been using Linux for only a few days and I managed. Just download and install the packages in the order shown.

then to run it, just type "ogle -u cli /dev/cdrom" or whatever your dvd player is called
