H.. E.. double hockey sticks yeah! invision the underwear commercial guy doing his little dance, I am up on the linux side of my box, high speed, low drag.
mandrake 8.1, cox cable modem, netgear ethernet card fa311, I am the guru of linux newbie gurus, rotfl, (jk of course) but man I am stoked. I couldn't have done it with out you guys help, thanks. I had a linux for dummies book, which was written for rh7.3 I went to the internet setup chapter and followed these directions:
used linuxconf to setup card manually, dmesg to figure out irq for eth0, cd to /lib/modules dir to check n see if natsemi drvr was there it was, ifconfig after accepting changes in linuxconf, results looked like fig in book, went to desktop, kde, clicked setup connection, followed next buttons, and opened konq, cox popped up, and i had a baby!!!
