Hi All!
I just got Debian 2.1 on CD and was wondering wether or not to replace RH 7.0 which I have running, with it. RH 7 seems a little buggy, but it could just be that I'm a newbie :D
Any info from people who have used Debian 2.1 would be much appreciated

Do you know a lot about your hardware? Do you have spare partition space? How familiar are you with Unix terms or have you used DOS?
I say go for it if you say yes to all those questions.
PS 'Enter' is a magical key when setting up Debian. Actually, when installing new packages, 'Enter' is still a magical key. Even more magical is apt. Are you apt to use Debian?

Debian 2.1 is old. Like 2 years old. Although it is good, it uses kernel 2.0-whatever. You may not be able to get much of your "newer" hardware recognized/configured. I'd recomend the latest Debian 2.2r3.
If you have high-speed internet, do a 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get dist-upgrade' to upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2r3.
Thank you, have a good day! ;)
