Disk Space??

This is probably one of the stupidest questions out there, but I (for the life of me) cannot find the answer: how do I check to see how much disk space I have left on my linux system? I've checked the howto's, etc, but nothing on how to simply check disk space... thanks!

To check the space of each directly, I think it is: du dir_name http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
