Video tweaking in Mandrake (KDE) ?

Hello ,

I'm using Mandrake 7.2, and KDE as a window manager. Right now have 1600x1200@85Mhz , and windows minimize/maximize much slower than in win2k at the same set-up ... is there any tweaking aviable?

if it depends , my cpu is Duron 600@1,000 and I have 512MB PC133 ram...

I run both my work and home PC at 1600x1200 at 16bit and 256MB with no problems. What colordepth are you using? 24 or 32bit. If so, then try lowering to 16.
