Just curious. For some dumb reason, I never really looked at the last few lines of output on ifconfig. Lets just say they don't call me the BANDWIDTH PIG FOR NOTHING BABY!

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:B0:D0:15:19:9D
inet addr:68.67.xxx.xxx Bcast:68.67.xxx.xxx Mask:255.255.254.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:7742500 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:1 frame:0
TX packets:9076299 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
RX bytes:2513378734 (2.3 GiB) TX bytes:3809794100 (3.5 GiB)
Interrupt:3 Base address:0xec00

uptime:

01:14:54 up 1 day, 23:41, 1 user, load average: 0.05, 0.08, 0.08

2.3 GIG TX and 3.5 GIG RX. Oh yeah. Gotta love that.

Well, with my rusty, trusty .056k SBC Ameritech dialup connection, I use approximately the same amount of bandwidth in one day as most people use before 6am. :)

Um, my lawyer has requested a disclaimer. My poor bandwidth is not due to any problem with SBC Amerchoke, but is rather due to problems in my MS windows setup. Obviously, my ms windows setup is the problem, as I haven't downloaded the latest drivers off the MS update site for my debian woody installation. The fact that SBC Amerchoke is trying to get as many users into as little hardware as possible has no real effect, even when 5 million users are using the same 56k connection line...

No, of course not...why would that make a difference?
