I just bought Mandrake 8 from the internet, and it comes tomorrow, just wondering how I would remove Red hat Linux 7.1 from my computer now, shall I try and remove the partitions using fdisk, or will mandrake do this,

Thanks,
Karl.

Mandrake's DrakX will detect your existing Linux partition, and ask you if you want to format it. Just tell it what to do.

 Mandrake

Thanks!!, I have only had Linux a few days, I thought I'd try a few distros, is mandrake more user friendly? Oh yeah, and how do i run xconfigurer?

There's usually no need to run xconfigurator with Mandrake - it comes with its own setup program called DrakConf.

at the end of the configuration, if it
does not ask for an X-configuration you
may have to run Xconfigurator in a terminal
once rebooting, to get the window size you
want

XFdrake is the configurator for video settings in Mandrake
