I run slack 7.1 on a second hard drive 10.2 gig
I have win 98 on my main hard drive 30 gig
I'm still kinda new to linux so I was thinking, what if I backed up all my linux stuff on my win98 hard drive? I need to run win98 and linux (win98 mostly for visualbasic, etc. plus i'm still working on getting everything in linux going)
So if I could backup my whole linux system to the main hard drive I could get it back somehow if i hose the kernel or something. But, if this is possible or practical, I would have no idea how to put it back if the system is hosed hehe. But I could put indivual filesystems back if needed.
I have heard of cronjobs don't know much about it, but sounds like the best option.
Ideas? opinions?
I just want to be able to try some things and know I have backups just incase
thanks
paul
