i'm having trouble getting ANY audio cd to play, but i have no problems w/ mp3's, mpg's avi's, etc. i talked to the sound card people and the drivers for the card (santa cruz turtle beach) have been in since kernel version 2.0 (or something lower than the release i'm using). i also downloaded (what i hope will be) a replacement driver from cirrus logic, but i'm not sure where to put it (i searched for my current driver number, cirrus, cs, and even tried cd, but i'm still looking through that one, by the way there are no readme-type files in the .tar.gz). anybody have any ideas?

Is the little 4(?) pin digital cd cable plugged into your CDROM (to sound card)??? Linux I believe requires the use of digital to play CD's.

EDIT: No wait...2 pin 2 wire is digital...4 pin 3 wire is analog...had then backwards. Eitherway...either of those cables plugged in? Damn I need sleep
