MSN Messanger

Ive been wandering if jabber, gabber, icu, etc, are compatible with MSN Messanger. I really couldnt care less but i cant get rid of Win unless my mother has access to the MSN thing. Has anyone have luck configuring jabber, gabber, icu, etc. to be used with MSN??

Yeah gabber worked fine for me usin msn.
I use gaim know though because gabber wouldn't work with icq (for me.).

gaim (http://gaim.sourceforge.net/) is meant to be good, but i havent used it recently enough to try out how well it accesses MSN and others... everybuddy (http://www.everybuddy.com/) works reasonably well for me. I find it hangs sometimes accessing the server or sometimes when sending the first message of an IM conversation, but its perfectly useable.

Nothing so frustrating as trying to get work done at school while world+dog in there and out here has that **** going off with its annoying pop-up sounds.
Now even at home!
