Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ------------------ Z jzemat@aol.com Baron Flambe 01-28-2001, 06:38 AM In a word, no. AOHell uses a proprietary protocol which is why you have to use their bloatware. There was a rumour going around a while ago about a Linux version of AOHell, but I don't know how much truth there is in it. ------------------ "Everytime I learn something new it pushes some old stuff out of my brain!" - Homer Simpson Craig McPherson 01-28-2001, 06:51 AM You can't use it for your Internet connection, but you can check your e-mail for free at the AOL web page (http://www.aol.com/), and you can use AOL instant messenging with any of the Linux instant messenging clients -- I recommend GAIM. It even grabs your buddy list from the AOL server so you don't have to make it from scratch. demancey 01-28-2001, 07:17 AM Gamera: AOL for Linux http://www.techpages.com/linux.htm I havent used this yet (actually, Ill never use it --- antiAOL since 98) and the site doesnt provide support. ------------------ "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots.
