Can I connect to my AOL account w/ Linux (Mandrake)? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In a word, no. AOHell uses a proprietary protocol which is why you have to use their bloatware. There was a rumour going around a while ago about a Linux version of AOHell, but I don't know how much truth there is in it.

You can't use it for your Internet connection, but you can check your e-mail for free at the AOL web page (http://www.aol.com/), and you can use AOL instant messenging with any of the Linux instant messenging clients -- I recommend GAIM. It even grabs your buddy list from the AOL server so you don't have to make it from scratch.
