Some odd messages in logs

I have logcheck up and running and i'm getting some stuff from my logs that keeps on repeating. I wonder what they actually mean and what should i do?

Sep 25 07:06:58 my_computers_name ifup: Operation failed.
Sep 25 04:23:24 my_computers_name ifdown: Operation failed.

ifup and ifdown are the commands that bring the network interfaces up and down. Do you have networking on this system? If so, does it work correctly? ifup is done on boot, and ifdown is down for a shutdown, that is probably why you see both of those entries.

Yep, network is up and running nicely. But those ifup and ifdown do come other times than boot or shutdown. Perhaps RH has somekind of powersaver?
