Kernel compile dies on tulip.c

I'm running Mandrake 7.2. Yes, I did a search, but the problems were about getting the NIC to work, which it already does. The problem is, I can't compile a kernel because it always errors out when it gets to the tulip.c file. Anyone know how to fix this and get the kernel to compile correctly?
