Under linux mandrake 9.0 broadxent v.92/56k pci modem is not responding, works in windows though.

Hi!
First off, you may have problems if this is a 'winmodem'. Take a look at http://www.linmodems.org/ to see if its even useable under linux.
You might also like to read through the thread on this same subject at http://linuxnewbie.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68220&highlight=broadxent (the previous mentioned link is quoted there too)
