Re. installing kcommander2

When i run "./configure" On "kcommander 0.64" it runs for awhile and then
stops and i get the following message

-----------------
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt-1.4 (libraries) not found. Please
check your installation!

-----------------

---from install instructions kcommander

Optional Features
=================
For packages that use the X Window System, `configure' can usually
find the X include and library files automatically, but if it doesn't,
you can use the `configure' options `--x-includes=DIR' and
`--x-libraries=DIR' to specify their locations.
==================

How do i (use/word) the "option" with "configure" to find the libraries for
"qt" ( /usr/lib/qt )

I note the syntax Qt in the error message as against the installed package qt

Do you actually have the QT 1.4 stuff installed?

Qt is normally only installed when you install KDE. But if you do already have KDE installed, then do a "locate libqt.so" That should give you the location of the Qt libraries.

Also, if you upgraded any of your glibc or glibcso libraries make sure that you also updated your binutils package as well.
