Xmms not starting

I am not sure if any has had this problem before but for some reason or the other Xmms won't start for me at all i installed the 123 plugin that allows you to play mp3s but still nothing the app just won't start for anything. Does anyone here have an idea of what is wrong and what is the solution. And in case you are wondering i am running redhat 8.0

Open up a console and then type in:

xmms

Then watch for any mesaages that come up in the console.

Make sure that you have nothing running which might be using your sound card. I've had problems with galeon running flash pages with sound stopping me opening xmms.

Sorry couldn't resist this, and I will probably have a sore butt for the next couple of days due to the flames..........


Correct me if I am wrong but, Xmms starts tomorrow.............
