is there anyway to get DirectX Games to work in linux?

I would like to get rid of windows and switch over to linux, but i have a few games that use directx. so i was just curious.

I believe the newest version WINE will do that, but I am not sure. Go to http://www.winehq.com to get the latest source tarball and checkt ehdocumentation.
