When I enter my KDE windows environment the program KInternet automatically loads and runs in its own small window on the desktop.

I usually close it the reopen it from the menus as then it sits on the taskbar next to the clock and out of the way.

How do I stop it loading up like it does in the first place? It does not appear in the Autostart folder...

I then intend to add it in to the autostart folder where I guess it should load up as I want, next to the clock.

Does this sound right?

I guess you use SuSe 7.0 : I have the same problem ...

Got it in one!

6.4 never did that...

There may be two autostart folders, one for the user (this one is in /home/<username>/.kde/Autostart in Redhat 7.3) and one for all users (/usr/share/autostart in Redhat 7.3)

Perhaps the mysterious file is in the other folder?

doesn't kinternet have a preferences option where you could set that up? otherwise try going into Yast and check out the internet module.
