I am trying to get Linux (Mandrake) installed so I can check it out but, it can't find my CD Rom and I've tried installing from my HDD. How do you tell the installer to look for files on the hard drive? I've copied dosutils, images and mandrake files to the HDD. :(

You can't. You need to get your CD. Burn an ISO image onto a CD if you have a CD burner. That's about the best I can tell you.

I have no idea how Mandrake works, but if you get a boot: prompt, try typing "cdrom=/dev/hdc" or whatever your CDROM drive is.

I think it's hd?=cdrom. :)
