I just installed Mandrake 9 for the first time and I accidentally selected at the end of the install to go to X when it boots.
What do I need to change so it won't do that? I want to be able to login to the command line first and if I want then do a StartX.
Thanks for helping a newbie.

This is not the best way I would say, but to this I went to /etc/rc2.d (as my init level is 2) and changed the name of the xdm file (which starts X on boot) Now it cant find the file, so it doesnt load :) Anyone know a cleanest way, something like not letting it look for the file??

Glad to help...
Do youself (and us ;) ) a favor and review the NHF's. At least take a mental note of what NHF we have available at Linuxnewbie.
They can be very helpful at times.
Actually in all my time here at LNO, I've never needed to use any of the NHF's myself, BUT I do know what NHF topics we have and often refer to them when replying to questions such as yours.
