I want to install Peanut Linux on a computer that I just built. There is no OS on it. I have downloaded the small.iso from the Peanut site and burned it to a CD. Do I have to do anything else other than booting the computer from the CD? (i.e. partition ect.)
Thanks,
stickboy

partitioning is probably part of the install. If it is a totally new computer, just fire the disk in and go at it. It's not like you are going to lose any data :D

That's easy to fix... ;)

What didn't work?

Did you make the CD bootable?

Did you check your bootup sequence in your BIOS, to make sure it is booting off the CD? :)

There should be a comprehensible README/INSTALL file in the root directory of the CD. Just pop the CD into another machine and _read_ the instructions on how to install Peanut Linux.

From what I've heard/seen of Peanut Linux before, it is supposed to be installed on a DOS partition, but I may be mistaken.

Cheers :)
