need help

I have a Mathita cd-rw UJDA310,Atapi cd/dvd rom drive.


How would i set it up with X-cdroast? Can i watch dvd movies on my laptop or do i have to download something?


How would i burn cd on x-cd-roast?

You probably mean Mat****a, which is the name Panasonic uses in Japan. (since us dumb north americans are likely to pronounce it so it sounds like something offensive)

There's documention out there on setting up cd burners.

To play DVD's you would need a dvd player and that most likely doesn't come with your distro. Let us know what distro you use in future questions and you will get better answers.

I was talking about my cd burner,that i want to setup to my X-cdroast.


Red hat linux 7.1 setup for me but i not sure what to do next. By the way i got this cd-burner on my laptop when i buy it from dell.
