Processor question

Hi

I'm installing Redhat 8.0 and I have a question about my processor. It's an AMD Athlon XP 1800+, it doesn't say on the redhat website if it's compatible or not so I was just wondering if anyone knows if this processor will work or if it will defenitely not work.

Yes it will work. I do forget though are the packages for xp's i586's or i686's.?

I honestly don't think you should have a problem with your processor. Linux does support AMD and a newer processor shouldn't mean that Linux won't run.
