When I tried some links of midi musics, I got the error:
>>mcop warning user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE,overriding
Although the music was played, when I logout and in again. I got the message from GNOME:
>Desk guide alert: You are not running a Gnome compliant window manager.
Gnome support by the window Manager is strongly recommended for proper
Desk guide Operation
( I used the default sawfish )
And GNOME never recovered and I had to reinstalled redhat.
With the same machine, after I reinstalled redhat 7.1 and stayed away from those music sides, GNOME has worked OK so far.
Here is one of the side I visited:
http://www.classicalarchives.com/debussy.html
In another machine, which is a DELL Optiplex I also had redhat 7.1, I got the same error message when I hit a midi link. But GNOME was ok and I stopped trying any midi links.
