Hullo

they must be somewhere but I am a dinosaur so probably missed it.

Can us newbies have a guide to abbreviations like BTW?

And some slang as a bonus.

I do know the read the manual but still need help ok?

Hmmmm - OK here's a few that I know of:

WTF - What The (guess the rest)

OMG - Oh My God/Goodness

IIRC - If I Recall Correctly

AFAIK - As Far As I Know

LOL - Lots of Laughs

ROFL - Rolling On Floor Laughing

ROFLMAO - Rolling On Floor Laughing My *** Off

BSOD - Blue Screen of Death (Windows only ;) )

LotR - Lord of the Rings

Slang:

Distro - Distribution - Slackware, Mandrake, RedHat, Debian, etc, etc,

Windoze, Winblows - Windows

Micro$oft, Microsloth - Microsoft

Newbie - Newcomer to Linux
