System hangs while starting dhcpc

I have a server running rh6.1. While booting, it stops at
"starting dhcpc". If i interactively skip this it is okay.

How can I fix this?

if you skip dhcp and boot the box can you connect to the dhcpd server afterwards? It sounds like its not connecting, fix the connection or turn off dhcp in the boot scripts would be my guess.
