Your Help Is Needed Greatly! New User Lilo problems..I think

Hi im new to linux so bear with me i have tried to be as detailed as possable.

Last night i had decided to give linux a shot i downloaded the slackware 8 iso and burned it off

i then reformated my drive and added my partitions and installed windows 2k on its partition

i then installed slackware in what seams to be successful...except when i set my / partition to be the booted flag (where i installed lilo on the / superblock)
when i boot back it says

Error Loading Operating system

and halts.

i can boot the installed system with the lilo boot disk i made

so i did and went to fdisk and printed the table this is what i got

how can i fix this with out haveing to redo my system? my win2k is running nicely and is my current and only acces here

a lot of people won't recommend this but if you do not have any other boatloader then you should install lilo on /dev/hda not /dev/hda1

okie in hda i assume u mean the mbr?
