I've been following the NHF for ProFTPD, but when I ran the command "chsh -s /bin/false ftp", I get the error message of: Changing shell for FTP. Shell not changed. I think that this may be due to the fact that I don't have PAM installed (I went to their website and looked at their FAQ's....). I went to the next step and added /added /bin/false to the /etc/shells directory and tried to run the "chsh -s" comamnd again, but it gave me the same error. I'm using Mandrake 7.2, which is behind my Redhat 6.2 firewall.

Also, I need to add (I think) the following lines to my PMfirewall:
/usr/sbin/ipmasqadm portfw -a -P tcp -L $IPADDR 20 -R 192.168.0.1 20
/usr/sbin/ipmasqadm portfw -a -P tcp -L $IPADDR 21-R 192.168.0.1 21

I got this information from a search I did on this BBS.... Does this sound correct? If it is, where would I place this information; under Pmfirewall, Pmfirewall.

Any help would be very much appreiated. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif
