I know, I know, I know this is a stupid question. How do you change the default application for certain file types?

What desktop environment are you using? ------------------ - Klamath Get my GnuPG Key Here (http://klamath.dyndns.org/mykey.asc) Looking for an open source project to contribute to? So that's KDE's doing? How do I change this association? Thanks Baron Flambe 01-28-2001, 06:46 AM You could always open the program you want to use to view the file, and then use the program's own file -> open thing. I don't know if this works in KDE1 or if it's just a KDE2 thing, but you could also try right clicking on the file and see if an 'open with' option appears. Sorry I can't be more help. BTW, have you tried looking in the KDE faq? It might have been tucked away on your hdd somewhere when you installed kde. ------------------ "Everytime I learn something new it pushes some old stuff out of my brain!" - Homer Simpson [This message has been edited by Baron Flambe (edited 28 January 2001).] justlinux.com
