I'm about to give up on the subject. After reapeted attempts of installing themes on KDE on MDK9 I have yet 2 succesfully install the first one. Maybe I'm thick, I have not rulled out that hypothesis. But dealing with a specific theme that actually gave me a clue on whats going wrong (some liquid theme), it saiz :error: failed dependencies:
kdelibs = 3.0.0 is needed by kdeextras-liquidtheme-0.9.5-1
libcrypto.so.2 is needed by kdeextras-liquidtheme-0.9.5-1
libpng.so.2 is needed by kdeextras-liquidtheme-0.9.5-1
libssl.so.2 is needed by kdeextras-liquidtheme-0.9.5-1.

where on earth can I find these "Libraries"? I found some in Tucows but they are for KDE2.something.
If anyone could take me out of my missery.
Thank you.

Click on Mandrake Control Center,

Enter your password,

Click Software Management,

Click Install Software,

When rpmdrake opens type kdelibs in the search box, click Search.

Select the results and then click Install.

Repeat for the other files.

Hey that was quick!...

Thank you for responding so promptly. Yet... done what you said I typed in kdelibs in maes description and in files. the only one that came with an answer was the last one and it was some language packages of some sort. Installed those anyway (whatever they were), but again nothing happened. Any clues?
