I found this with a G4L search...

These adapters are usual Adaptec AHA1510, AHA1520, AVA1505 or AVA1515 Adaptec SCSI adapters, depending on the date of production. Just give the kernel parameter aha152x=addr,IRQ,SCSI Id and set the relevant hardware parameters from your system configuration. For the fourth parameter check out 0 and 1.

It is possible that SCSI-Id 0 won´t be accepted for the CDROM drive. In this case set the CDROM to another ID, e.g. 1, as ID 0 is usually reserved for hard drives only.

Try

aha152x=0x340,9,7,1

Can the AVA 1515 be set as the first boot device?

I found this with a G4L search for 'redhat hd installation' (http://jgo.local.net/LinuxGuide/redhat-hd-install.html). It should work.

Redhat should have something a little more recent on their website or the readme's from their ftp servers.
