Help!!! I'm having a difficult time uploading my website to my server because of specific permissions that have been set for user access. I understand the Chmod command and typical permission setup, but how do you associate specific permissions with an established user? We are running a Cobalt Qube2 which allows for the uploading of files from MS Front Page. We no longer create our documents using Front Page, but it has a tool that allows for allowing or denying users access to the site based on permission settings.
Once again we create our webpages using another tool but would like to be able to continue ot use this permission setting option. I don't however know where to go to do this from a terminal window on the linux box itself and avoid the hassle of dealing with MS.
