Yesterday I used wine to install Unreal Tournament. Install went with no problems. I tried to play, locked up on me. I got a friend of mine to help me out and we made progress but now I get this error:

wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger...
err:seh:EXC_DefaultHandling Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x400da1b7

Can someone help me with this? Thanks, Jeremy

Hasnt UT got a Linux port anyway?

It appears to be a wine problem. I have done some really good digging and testing and it will happen everytime I use wine. I have just upgraded to the newest edition. It's probably a bug. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Thanks, Jeremy

Well the only thing I would suggest is to just use the linux native version of UT. All you have to do is download the lokin installer and use your windows CD. It will play better than you will ever get it to work in wine.

Since lokigames isn't available anymore, where can I get it? Thanks, Jeremy

Ok. I've got the installer and the CD in, now what? I'm new to Linux and if you'd help, I'd be greatly appreciative. Thanks, Jeremy

open a command promp, make sure you have the cd mounted, and from the dir where you download the installer just type ./installername
