Thanks cdsl PLBlaze 01-07-2001, 04:38 PM You could try to run last 'user' or lastb 'user' where user is the desired user name, that would show all the logins for that user from wtmp or btmp.Hope this helps. charles d 01-07-2001, 06:39 PM When I do "last 'user'" It doesn't do anything. It stops in a new line. It's like if its waiting for something lastb doesn't work cdsl PLBlaze 01-07-2001, 06:47 PM <self note> SISCKB0Y is right...getting tired too <self note> Now when i said 'user' you would type your user name, whatever it is.Here's what i get paul@blazebox:~$ su Password: root@blazebox:/home/paul# lastb paul paul Sun Jan 7 17:42 - 17:42 (00:00) paul Sun Jan 7 15:32 - 15:32 (00:00) paul Sat Dec 16 17:13 - 17:13 (00:00) paul Mon Nov 27 13:00 - 13:00 (00:00) paul Mon Nov 27 01:19 - 01:19 (00:00) paul Sun Nov 12 11:53 - 11:53 (00:00) btmp begins Sun Nov 12 11:53:16 2000 root@blazebox:/home/paul# WHere my 'user' is name paul,is this clear now?Hope it helps this time... justlinux.com
