Hi.
I have a linux box at home running Mandrake 7 and online via a cable modem. Should it be possible for me to set up a news server on it that I can use from work (Outlook Express) to read/post to newsgroups?
If so, what would be the easiest way or easiest software to set up?

First off, check with your ISP (discretely of course).

Many ISPs block the common port reqests coming into their networks, the most common being web (80/http). The news servers usually use port 119/nntp and they may be blocking this also.

Lets face it, they make their money from charging people for using their glorified dial-out account as a dial-in!

Just check and see what their policies are, it could save you a lot of stress up front! ;)
