I just got this link from a mailing list, I hope this helps people trying to install Debian, I've already installed mine anyway (but still needs a bit of configuration) . I haven't really tried it but it looks very promising :)

Once I make sure I'm ok with setting up GRUB, I'm going for it.

Libranet also makes for a pain free install of Debian for a newbie. The 2.0 essentials version is free and comes with a great tool called Adminmenu (and Xadminmenu in the gui). It makes it easy to do things like set up a printer or a network card, enable SCSI emulation for CDRW, even compile a kernel.

The main selling point for me was that it recognised and configured itself to work with the sound and USB controller on my not quite mainstream chipset, SIS 745. Before I knew it, I was soaking in it! :D
