Laptop Modem

I need to know what is not a winmodem for a laptop. Any suggestions as to what kind of modem to get. I do not want an external modem either.

Is a cardbus modem a winmodem? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if some PCMCIA modems are winmodems or not so I would suggest you check the manufactures website or contact them.

This site http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/ may help in your search or winmodems.org or linmodems.org may have lists of laptop modems that work with Linux.
