So far so good but I dont think I was able to get the Dlink DFE-530TX NIC working, I tried installing the Via Rhine modules but it said I needed some command-line arguments or something like that.
Well lets see what happens :)

Well, everything looked fine until it tried to switch to graphics mode, now im staring at a completely grey screen and nothing else is happening. Back to Mandrake 8 I guess hehe.

try Caldera OpenLinux 3.1 - its not as newbie friendly as mandrake yet is not difficult, its great

I'll second that. Pity more users don't realize what they're missing by not trying a Caldera distro.
Not to insult the debheads.
McDonald's just signed a contract with Caldera... all 4,500 outlets.

Hmm, what is it based on? I tried a Debian based distro because of the apt-get installation.
