How can I make it so my lilo displays the boot message and gives a prompt by default when my computer is booting? Currently, it shows Lilo 2.16 then loads linux after a few seconds, but if I press shift it displays my bootmessage file then gives me a prompt to enter an OS, how can i make it so it displays the boot message and gives the prompt by default without me having to press shift?

Mike, simply add prompt on a single line to your /etc/lilo.conf and rerun /sbin/lilo to update the boot loader.Hope this helps.
