Connecting to DSL question

Hi
I\m trying to connect my RH7.1 to the net. I have an Unex ethernet card going through a router.
I can\t work out why I can\t connect. I go to the control panel in KDE and run adsl-config and give the username and password and DNS addresses and it won\t connect.
Ive tried without the DNS names as my ISP supports Dynamic IPs ithink but no luck.
Can ayone offer some advice or point me in the right direstion?

If you're going through a router, you would need to just input the router's address as gateway and setup a static ip for yourself. The router would have to be setup to work with your ISP. Is that what you're having trouble with?
