Running Slackware 8.1

Used pkgtool to unintall the old 1.0 mozilla and d/l the new mozilla source w/the securty fix.

tar'd it installed it, configured it etc...

Here's the prob: proggie lives in /etc/local/mozilla, can't find the executable file anywhere (?) I can open the proggie w/run-mozilla.sh but haven't been able to create a link to run the program from a desktop.

Any suggestions?

just create a new launcher name it mozilla

edit its properties under command just type mozilla and give it the mozilla icon and your good to go

Removing the old Moz unfortunatly also removes some functionality in some other app. I normally use this method of installation.....

http://linux-sxs.org/mozillaonlinux.html

Then provide new links for the new install. Next time I just download the nightly build and it copies right to the new directory.

In the Moz directory....the shell script named "mozilla". You'll need to write the full path for any links.
