Ok, I run gnome and so far all but one things are running great. I have installed many programes not in rpm form, and other suchs feets for a newbie.

But I can not for the life of me figure out how to creat a link to a programe like mozilla on my desktop. I know you right click and select new launcher. But I don't know the command to have it run mozilla.

Can you run mozilla with out it being an icon? if so then just use the same command you use to start it from a command line (including path if it isn't one of your $PATH directories)

I start mozilla by cd'ing to it's directory and typing ./mozilla

i have mozilla on the panel by creating a launcher and setting it up that way.

unsure bout the desktop though
although i want to know how to create an icon on the desktop in gnome to access my mounted windows partition, similar in fashion to how the icon for your home directory is actioned.
