JohnT has a good tip in the thread below...

...but how can I change to using the XP bootloader if I have used Mandrake to put lilo on the MBR?

I am getting tired of re-installing everything when I want to change something, so, I am trying to learn how to do this kind of thing without doing a re-installation.

I know that WinXP is odd how it boots (something about NTLOADER I believe.) and I am just trying to learn more than anything else.

Things are booting great now but I want to learn about this...

TIA...;)

Follow the NT/W2K/XP boot.ini instructions and use hda for the ip device instead of hda#.

Uninstall Lilo from the mbr using

/sbin/lilo -u

and then set the XP partition as active.
