glib 1.2????

Ok when i try to compile some programs, like avi plugin for xmms or mpeg plugin, or even wine i make ./configure, but i get a message glib 1.2 not found.

I look for it on Storm Package administrator, and it says glib 1.2.8 is installed.

How do i make ./cdonfigure to find it, or how do i install it manually.

As you notice by now im using Storm Linux.

Have you checked if it's in your $PATH ?
I think the $PATH for all users is placed in "/etc/profiles" or something like that.

Locate the glibs and add the directory to your $PATH.

(If this sounds too easy, ermm...well maybe it's difficult anyway http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif )

Ohh, and BTW, DON'T post like 3 or 4 times, that's rude! Just "BUMP" it back up.

Sorry bout the post, had metwork problems and the submit page never changed so i didnt know if it has been posted.

Where do i look for the libs.
